i always wanted to be a tenenbaum
you, know?
i am a twenty-three year old darling girl.
i am not married, i have no children, and i didn't graduate from college. but..
i draw birds and robots; i read books; i laugh till i cry; i love until my heart bursts; i sometimes paint my face or arms with stripes if i'm bored; i create; i play guitar.
i am not impressive, but i am me.
i am addicted to Jesus Christ. He never stops loving, never stops giving, and there is always more of Him. He is the perfect addiction. no one else can satisfy.
These are all just mostly vague details. If you want me, come find me. But, I promise, at the very least, you'll think I'm nice.

you know, i love worship music. so much. i love the second circle from enter the worship circle. its amazing, and its just.i could listen to it all day. forever. just worshipping God the way that i was created. you know, sometimes i just get like soo lost. i mean, his grace is easy to forget. which is stupid, but it is. and its so much easier i guess to just sit there and go ..well i'm kinda tired, i'll spend time with you later, or i'm busy now. but then 5 hours later of doing nothing, we still haven't hung out with the one who loves us most. we are all too concerned of being loved, and who will love us in this life, and how we don't want to lose the one that we love most. but none of those people matter in comparison to the love that God has for us. i'm a screwup, a failure, a idiot, a sinner, and a child of God. all at the same time. and too many times i remember the first ones, and forget the last ones. and i've even gotten lately to the point of where i get kinda bitter and just go "fine! if you wanna be far away, then so will i!" but then you really realize how stupid that is, and that a close relationship with your heavenly father is really what its all about.
i have goals, be successful, be a mom, get married in my twenties, have a nice house, and little financial worry. but you know, i could be a failure, not be able to have kids, get married in my 40s to a guy who can barely keep us alive from week to week. but you know, none of it matters as long as i love my daddy as much as i can as much as he does. i will never come close to loving another soul on this earth as much as God loves me. and i'll never come as close to returning the amount of love he has for me.
its such a hard concept to really just humble yourself and surrender. i mean, seriously i deal with that all the time. sure, God has my life, my heart, and everything i am. but does he have my dreams? my goals? my fears? my insecurties? most likely not. if life doesn't go my way, i lose sight of the fact that i'm not in control of my life, so why should i think its going to go my way? lets use that cliche car analogy. if i'm just sitting next to God riding shotgun while he drives, and i just sit there and go "where are we going?" and he just says "wait" i'll probably be stupid and try to figure it out. so i look around and go, "i know where we're going. it looks like we're headed to chicago!" and i feel all smart and safe that i know something and God kinda smiles but says nothing. so we get to all the chicago exits and pass everyone and i start freaking out. i cry "i'm lost! this isn't right! i was supposed to turn back there! everything is ruined now!" why am i freaking out. i don't know where i'm going, but with God driving i don't need to be worried. i'm not saying i should recline the seat back and just go to sleep, but you know what i'm trying to say.
too many times i end up thinking i'm in the right place. like for instance, 7 years i thought i was going to be a doctor, eehhh! wrong. okay, so i say, i'm for sure going to NWcollege. ehhh wrong. oh okay, i'll just be a youth pastor asst. and go to synergy. ehhhh wrong! ohhh i'll get a psych/soc. major and minor in ministry. ehhh still wrong! ...fine.. so i'll just say screw all that and get a graphic arts degree. lol that might work for me, i'm not sure.
maybe all these locations need to be there so i can get to where i need to be. like, jeremiah 29:11, is a well known misquoted verse. its when the children of God were given the promised land. they lived there for awhile, and life was peachy. but then they had to flee and get driven out by i think the babylonians so they didn't get killed. and they started freaking out and was like "dude. God. not cool!" but God's like "chill out. things like this have to happen, and i have a plan for you. i'm not going to screw you over, it'll be great for you" and if that hadn't happened down the road we would of never had a little baby who grew up to save the world and live to die so we can die and then live.
so i know with confidence that God will get me to where he wants me to be.
and i know that i am who he made me to be. i'm going where he wants me to go, i've been where he wants me to have been, i've learned from the mistakes i was allowed to make, and my future is bright. and i love jesus.
