i always wanted to be a tenenbaum
you, know?
i am a twenty-three year old darling girl.
i am not married, i have no children, and i didn't graduate from college. but..
i draw birds and robots; i read books; i laugh till i cry; i love until my heart bursts; i sometimes paint my face or arms with stripes if i'm bored; i create; i play guitar.
i am not impressive, but i am me.
i am addicted to Jesus Christ. He never stops loving, never stops giving, and there is always more of Him. He is the perfect addiction. no one else can satisfy.
These are all just mostly vague details. If you want me, come find me. But, I promise, at the very least, you'll think I'm nice.

so yesterday was murder.
yesterdays yesterday was murder.
i (yy) went up to ames to go swimming at the quarry (peterson pits) with paige, alex, and tom. it was hilarious, as any time with tom tends to turn out. he likes to monologue in song. so afterwards i chilled with alex and em some more, but ultimately went to paige's apt around 11pm to meet ben and eat some much enjoyed popscicles. i love me some popscicles. so i was supposed to drive home afterwards, but once it reached 3.. i just decided to stay and get up later. so then yesterday, i get up at 8.30 and leave to drive home, take a shower, and drive back to take my mom to a drs. appt. rawr i was so tired.
murdermurdermurder.
then i met paige, alex, emma, and todd out at the quarry but that was pretty uneventful as i didn't swim this time. like 30 minutes later they left for SALT and the LIGHT and i left to go to the lydia's address show.
and for the record, shame on you all who didn't go. it was the greatest show i've been to in a long while. and (hah!) they're now in my mom's top 5! you should have gonnnneee.. you know you're disappointed, i can feel it radiating over here. but don't worry, you can to go the show in dubuque with me the 16 of august. bring cookies and i won't make you contribute for gas..mwaha.
so then after the show mi madre who is full of chevere and i decided to take them out for food, because the poor dears hadn't eaten yet. and where do you take a group of hungry twentysomethings? perkins! yessssss. it was fantabulous. i met some new people, and had great conversation. and now riley has given me much encouragement to go explore pascal and kierkegaard. and i'm not sure i spelled that right. but i don't feel like looking it up. so those books have been moved to the front of the list. i just have to remember what they were. (besides fear and trembling. i know that.)
then we drove back and i totally was just beyond dead, and i had to sleep for a scosher, which didn't make it better, so after about falling asleep a million times, we made it home. hurrah. and i passed out the couch. my couch. since my parents sold my bed.
so that was my fanfreakin'tastic night, and sucks for you if you didn't go. but now a bowl of cereal calls my name along with a new zelda game that has so graciously been bestowed upon me for a limited amount of time. hooray!
lovelove,
Jeska
