i always wanted to be a tenenbaum
you, know?
i am a twenty-three year old darling girl.
i am not married, i have no children, and i didn't graduate from college. but..
i draw birds and robots; i read books; i laugh till i cry; i love until my heart bursts; i sometimes paint my face or arms with stripes if i'm bored; i create; i play guitar.
i am not impressive, but i am me.
i am addicted to Jesus Christ. He never stops loving, never stops giving, and there is always more of Him. He is the perfect addiction. no one else can satisfy.
These are all just mostly vague details. If you want me, come find me. But, I promise, at the very least, you'll think I'm nice.

| This is how it works You're young until you're not You love until you don't You try until you can't You laugh until you cry You cry until you laugh And everyone must breathe Until their dying breath
No, this is how it works You peer inside yourself You take the things you like And try to love the things you took And then you take that love you made And stick it into some Someone else's heart Pumping someone else's blood And walking arm in arm You hope it don't get harmed But even if it does You'll just do it all again
(on the radio - regina spektor)
well. it's been awhile since a bloggy hasn't it? more than two weeks. moving to ames has worked out beautifully. i'm moved in. i love my apt. i love living with emma. truth be told, i was cautious. i mean, i'd be nervous living with someone like paige, even. you just never know how it's going to work out. but it's going swimmingly. i'm learning how to budget, how to buy groceries, how to everything else. but.. then there's that pesky job situation. i've decided to go in another direction with my original plans. i had an interview at a vet's office in story city that went SUPER well, if you ask me. and i think i'm going to get the job. which, if you could pray about that for me, i'd appreciate it. i've been begging God for it. if you want me to explain it more in detail, let me know. i mean, basically it's like receptionist work + misc. i'd know how to restrain animals, talk to customers, schedule appts.. etc. so not just answering phones. and the whole job just fits everything i want. *sigh* i want this job very much. and then i'll still try to supplement it with like GAP every sunday or something. (sunday night.) or a few days a week. i don't know. we'll see. i have another second interview with pearle vision tomorrow at the mall. i'm glad they called me back.. but they seem to handle too many people for my liking. i need to work with enough people that i'm not bored, but not too many so that i'm overwhelmed. they compete with the chicago stores, if that tells you anything of traffic.
and i'm so bummed. this girl posted a listing on facebook saying she needed to get rid of her 5 year old, 18lb cat, Timmy. so i told her i'd love timmy. and i even had it all semi-worked out, all i had to do was put down the pet deposit at MPM, and then pick him up. and then she just messaged me tonight saying she gave him to another family. i mean, yeah, i'm sure he'll like a family better.. but i was really, REALLY looking forward to timmy. *sigh* so i'm actually pretty bummed about it. i mean, he was free, declawed, and had all up to date shots. if i went to a shelter, i'd still have to pay like $125 on top of the $200 pet deposit. and i really REALLY can't afford that.
i still want a ferret named ferrets bueller. todd thought of it. and i keep laughing every time i hear it. FERRETS! ha. amazing.
i just need something to snuggle and pet and love. *sigh* something small and furry. oh well, all in due time. and i guess it's better to not pay for a cat when i can't really afford it.. but i just was looking SO forward to it. and i was telling everyone.. and today when i got home, i walked in the door and said "timmy! we're home! [to emma] i'm practicing!" *sigh*
*double sigh*
i don't know. maybe it's stupid to get so upset over a cat. but he seemed so sweet. the only time i could get another cat would be the same situation. free, declawed, updated shots, and including litter box and food. which, that whole package is pretty hard to come by. but i know the vet (hereby referred to as HPH: heartland pet hospital) office doubles as a shelter and has two cats and one kitten. so i'm sure they could hook me up. i want that job so badly. and i need something to snuggle. *sigh*
ugh. i'm getting depressed from the lack of pet snuggles. i really am sad, aren't i? i miss my kitty. too bad he whines and sheds to much to bring him into an apartment. this is just the first time in two years i've lived with out a pet. it's weird to wake up to nothing. nothing needing you, or wanting you, or meowing at you for you to love it. boo. now i'm all sad.
i've been playing zelda for two days. almost straight. and as usual, i'm dominating hxc. but i'm going to get to the point where i'm bored with the game and i'll just stop playing mid level. like, i really don't want to mess with the gerudo fortress. it's a hassle.
adam and gretchen are back in town, and i couldn't be more excited. i saw them yesterday, and i'll probably hang out with them tomorrow. i love them so much. i can't tell you how good it felt for adam to ask me to come back to camp (where they are) tomorrow. i mean, i know we're friends, and i know we're cool.. but sometimes i just wonder if he's only friends with me because he doesn't have the heart to tell me to go away. i know, know, know that's not the case. i just need to hear that you're still my friend. it's why i'm so hurt when i have friends that don't talk to me after months, and i put in so much effort to get one word from them, and it's nothing. then there are the people i know i'm locked in for life with. but he wanted me to come back. and i just was like.. hooray! my mini-moment of validation. mmmm.
well, i really should be going to bed. but i can't stop listening to this song.. and i'm not super tired yet. oh well. goodnight my lovelies. sleep well.
and i'll catch you all later :) *hug* |
