i always wanted to be a tenenbaum
you, know?
i am a twenty-three year old darling girl.
i am not married, i have no children, and i didn't graduate from college. but..
i draw birds and robots; i read books; i laugh till i cry; i love until my heart bursts; i sometimes paint my face or arms with stripes if i'm bored; i create; i play guitar.
i am not impressive, but i am me.
i am addicted to Jesus Christ. He never stops loving, never stops giving, and there is always more of Him. He is the perfect addiction. no one else can satisfy.
These are all just mostly vague details. If you want me, come find me. But, I promise, at the very least, you'll think I'm nice.

| i'm continually impressed by the fact that as each day goes by i'm continually feeling worse. i hate being sick. shocker.
at least it's all draining. which is good, because that's letting me know i'm actually improving, but drainage causes my ears to hurt, my stomach to hurt, and overall just makes me more miserable.
i love paige and todd. before i went in my apt. after church yesterday, paige surprised me with a target bag full of: a box of kleenex, a can of soup, some medicine!, and a box of hot cocoa with the tasty marshmallows - my uberfave. so the medicines working and as much as i don't feel awesome or better, i know i'd be feeling worse without it. so thank you to my dear friends. or if it was a singular act on paige's account, then thanks even more so, babycakes. i love living upstairs from them. i know that's like the most obvious statement of the century, but it's just like even though we don't get to see each other that often, when we have time, we don't have to waste it by traveling to get to each other. i can just walk downstairs, or they (more commonly paige.) can come up. i really really enjoy it.
yesterday was such an awful day. i'll try to sum up. i went to church feeling awful because i told myself that i had skipped the last two weeks because of crappy reasons and i wasn't going to let myself skip even though i had a good one..although i still forgot my tithes check... God better know i'm trying hard..anyway, so i got home and made some lunch for danielle, em and i, and that went pretty well, but i was feeling so awful. and i had a work meeting at 6.30, and i had to run to target to pick up the drinks i was supposed to bring for our company potluck type thing. the whole shebang was though, a donation type raise money thing so we can build a village for people in guatemala. very nice and good, but i don't have all that much money to donate. like zero. so i just bought two 2 liters, and on my way home dropped danielle back off at the dorms. but before i did, i called into work and i just said, you know, look, i'm feeling awful, i still have a fever, blah blah, can i just come stop by for a few minutes, get a quick synopsis and then drop off the drinks? to which i was told, no. you can't. it's a mandatory meeting, and you don't know everyone, and either you come today or you go to des moines next sunday for their meeting. so i agreed that i'd come. and as soon as i hung up i started bawling like hxc. i felt bad that danielle had to witness that lol, i was a disaster. so i called my mom to tell her that they're making me go, and i got little sympathy from her, and instead received more of a "suck it up, princess" type of conversation. so naturally, i cried harder. but i stood my ground with her on the phone. so i'm proud of myself. but i make it home in time to drop stuff off before i have to turn around and go to the meeting. so i get there, and not only did people (save for like 5 or 6 of us) not know they had to bring stuff, no one drank my pop i brought. so i could have saved money i don't have by not purchasing it. the meeting wasn't all that awful, i just felt so horrible through the whole thing. the stupid thing is that when i'm sick and around people i don't know, or i'm not comfortable with, i'll try to mask how sick i really am and how awful i really feel. i don't know why. so i was trying to have a good time and stuff.. but now i'm nervous it might have reflected like i wasn't sick or something. i looked like hell, so i hope she still believed me.
seeing jeremiah at chelsey's though made the night better. i told him we should be family again, and he agreed. so i have my little brother back, and i'm beyond excited. we might hang out today before he goes back home. but he'll be moving in october or something, so that's good.
ugh. all my muscles hurt. i took a bath last night with this muscle relaxing bath stuff, but it has menthol in it, so all it did was make my hot bath freezing. it sucked. but my shoulders hurt super bad.
i'm sorry if i'm whiny. i get whiny when i'm sick, and i'm trying really hard not to be whiny.
i finished my friend leonard last night. it's such an amazing book. i think it's the only book i've cried harder in than the five people you meet in heaven. great book. i think i might name my fish my friend leonard. my fish seems leonardy. ugh. i just looked at him. he's drinking air from the surface again. i have to clean his tank every effing day. and i hate it. i need that tank from alex. [alex, if you're reading, can you bring me that tank sometime today, or can i come and get it?] poor li'l guy. suffocating because of me.
oh good, it's raining. faaaabulous.
i'm sorry this blog is so lame. it's about nothing. but thanks for reading all like 192 of you. every time i post a blog that's the average number i usually get of views. so whoever you are, thanks. you should leave a comment or a kudo on your way out. don't forget to hit the lights and lock the door. |
