i always wanted to be a tenenbaum
you, know?
i am a twenty-three year old darling girl.
i am not married, i have no children, and i didn't graduate from college. but..
i draw birds and robots; i read books; i laugh till i cry; i love until my heart bursts; i sometimes paint my face or arms with stripes if i'm bored; i create; i play guitar.
i am not impressive, but i am me.
i am addicted to Jesus Christ. He never stops loving, never stops giving, and there is always more of Him. He is the perfect addiction. no one else can satisfy.
These are all just mostly vague details. If you want me, come find me. But, I promise, at the very least, you'll think I'm nice.

beware. this blog may have adult themes.

[also. if you are a boy, you might not want to read this.]
okay. seriously.
what is WRONG with me today?
for starters, my lovely period showed up three days late. now, i'm not one to complain, especially since i was able to enjoy a date on saturday, and my grandmas birthday on sunday (and hours of driving around iowa) without any problems or anything. but today... TODAY.
i think i'm dying.
mr. garrison (on south park) once said, "i don't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die."
i stand by that.
this comic describes it right as well. "visceral-horror."
ugh. at least i got some feverfew from wayne and mary's. it's generally used for reducing fever, migraines, and inflammation of joints, but can treat cramps. although there aren't too many studies showing results. but it seems to have tamed mine a bit. not as well as ibuprofen, but at least the feverfew isn't destroying my organs.
and i had today off (praise God) because dr. rall is in minneapolis, so i was able to go around town and have some fun with my mom. but as soon as we got home, i just crashed out for a long nap. and had the WEIRDEST dream i've had in a long time. beware some of the .. uh.. adultish themes. i'll try to edit most of it.
so most of the what's, where's and when's have disappeared by now.
but i do remember:
-walking in on two of my cousins...uh... doing ... stuff. moving on.
-storming into a hospital and demanding that they stop killing people with all their medications and yelling at them that people need to know the truth. (true story, people.) then two lady doctors yelled at me and tried to stop me from leaving the hospital as i was causing such an uproar that they wanted to arrest and kill me. (let's hope that's not prophetic.) so then i had to jump under these floor boards with two guys (friends of mine apparently) and there was this old vw bug that was under the floor like.. buried in the dirt of the foundation, and it was at such an odd angle, like you would imagine if you buried a toy car in the dirt. almost at like a car wreck angle. so it was really hard to even get the floor up high enough so i could open the door to get in, and it was all super crazy 'cause everyone was chasing after us. but we finally got in and the "car" transported us to a safe area of like offices. i apparently was part of a crew that went and tried to shut down hospitals all renegade style. so that was sweet. but then ... oh gosh... do i dare type this? ... but then, as i was being debriefed by my team captain, farva (yes. farva from supertroopers) walked in and he had lost like a bunch of weight which... *blush blush* which i apparently found attractive. so then he sat next to me and i was like "man, farva. you look really great." ... and he, i guess suddenly didn't have a shirt on? i don't know anyway, so i pretty much threw myself on him and like started making out with him like right in the middle of our work meeting with the chief. but no one seemed to mind...
anyway. it was gross.
period dreams are mega weird. i wonder what pregnancy dreams are like.
paige knows.
but seriously.
on a separate, far less gross note, our family is officially going vegetarian.
mom started us off right with a nice vegetable soup. ....with sausauge. good try mom.
but dad's given her the "okay" to start this ideal protein diet (that is WAY too expensive. seriously. i told my mom earlier that i wish i could find a guy like dad. someone who loves me, works really hard to support me, and somehow loves me enough to let me buy things that are too expensive and too stupid all of the time. she made a face at me then laughed because she knows i'm right.)
but this diet is too weird for me to write on here. but then we're switching to all raw (hopefully), organic stuff, no more cow's milk as it is
bad for you (we're switching to almond or rice milk because soy
mimics estrogen and can
mess up women's bodies, and has also been linked to cancer amongst
other things), if we do eat meat it will be from a farm that doesn't use hormones or chemicals, we are cutting down on refined sugar and wheat products, and getting rid of things that are too overprocessed.
hopefully we will be more sucessful than i feel we will be. after all,
you are what you eat.
can you tell i'm learning things from work :) haha. seriously though, check those links out. inform yourself. i can send you links to a bunch of good dvds that are worth watching. the lies that have been fed to americans are intensely unbelieveable. heck, my first few weeks of working with dr. rall i still thought he was crazy. but then i learned the facts.
you know what i've found to be interesting?
allopathy is healing with unnatural ways - the medical industry.
homeopathy is healing with natural ways - holistic measures, chiropractic.
is it funny to anyone else that an
allosaurus is a seriously ferocious dinosaur?
much like the medical industry...
anyway.
other good finds for today: calvin & hobbes : there's treasure everywhere!
DUDE. i thought we've owned every single calvin and hobbes since forever. and here it was at borders for $6 and it is now a part of our family. thank you, borders.
i have other good books too that are worth checking out. i bought "skinny bitch" and "skinny bitch in the kitch. (kickass recipes for hungry girls who want to stop cooking crap and start looking hot!)"
the back of skinny bitch reads:
"stop being a moron and start being skinny! if you can't take one more day of self-loathing, you're ready to hear the truth: you cannot keep shoveling the same crap into your mouth every day and expect to lose weight. authors rory freedman and kim barnouin are your new smart-mouthed girlfriends who won't mince words and will finally tell you the truth about what you're feeding yoruself. and they'll guide you on making intelligent and educated decisions about food. they may be bitches, but they are skinny bitches. and you'll be one too---after you get with the program and start eating right."
now, i don't want to be a bitch. but i do want to be skinny and eat right. plus i like their humor.
the back of "skinny bitch in the kitch" reads:
"you read skinny bitch, and it totally rocked your world. now you want to know, "what can i cook that's good for me, but doesn't taste like crap?" well, lucky for you, the Bitches are on the case. self-proclaimed pigs, rory and kim understand all too wel: life without lasagna isn't a life worth living; chocolate cake is vital to our survival; and no one can live without man n' cheese --- no one. so you can keep your SB standard and eat like a whale? shit yeah, bitches. to prove it, rory and kim came up with some kick-ass recipes for every craving there is:
-bitchin' breakfasts
-pms (pissy mood snacks)
-sassy soups and stews
-down home cookin'
-grown-up appetizers
-happy endings (desserts)
and a ton more! they're all so good (and easy to make) you're gonna freak out. seriously. what are you waiting for? get your skinny ass in the kitchen!"
the last "seriously." sold it for me. i say it all the time as a final point. and the recipes inside do look good, and actually kind of easy. the ingredients might be hard to find as they're either natural or organic, but i like that they agree that food should be tasty.
so here's to being healthy and skinny and whatever else. (although, not a bitch.)
so, that's all i have for now. there are a few other things i could write about, but eh, i'm tired of writing. (is this where i start beatboxing?)
goodnight, blogland.
i love you all. take care of yourselves.
