i always wanted to be a tenenbaum
you, know?
i am a twenty-three year old darling girl.
i am not married, i have no children, and i didn't graduate from college. but..
i draw birds and robots; i read books; i laugh till i cry; i love until my heart bursts; i sometimes paint my face or arms with stripes if i'm bored; i create; i play guitar.
i am not impressive, but i am me.
i am addicted to Jesus Christ. He never stops loving, never stops giving, and there is always more of Him. He is the perfect addiction. no one else can satisfy.
These are all just mostly vague details. If you want me, come find me. But, I promise, at the very least, you'll think I'm nice.

jimmy eat world calms my madness in a way that david's songs quieted the demons in king saul's head.
"Amazing still it seems
I'll be 23
I won't always love what I'll never have
I won't always live in my regrets
You'll sit alone forever
If you wait for the right time
What are you hoping for?
I'm here I'm now I'm ready
Holding on tight
Don't give away the end
The one thing that stays mine"
i'm not sure how long this entry will be. i don't intend for it to be very long, but at the same time, i want to actually say a lot of things, instead of just barely touch on them. i'll cover san fransisco for a few moments, and eventually upload pictures, so then i'll probably say more about what we did.
the flights were... okay. the first one, i had to sit alone, and i silently cried my eyes out during take off. then i figured, welp, we're gonna die, so no point in cryin' about it. but i feel like i had a redefining "death" moment, so it's nice to know that i'm secure in my love for Christ. (it sounds so lame and cheesy, but dude, we were gonna DIE.) the second flight made my stomach upset, then the return flights were fine. i was too tired to even care if we died. we had some crappy landings though. (sara agreed.)
then the weather was actually colder in CA than it was in SD. go fig, eh? but not by much. but i loved waking up every morning and going to trader joe's. what i find to be amusing is like, i would love to work there. it looks awesome. and people would say, "where do you work?" and i'd say with excitement and confidence, "trader joe's!". but if i were to work at hy-vee and someone asked where i worked, it'd be embarrassing and i'd hate saying i worked there. this is why the coast is cool and the midwest is dumb. (those both feed off each other too. the midwest is dumb because we think the coast is cool, but the coast is cool because we are dumb.) but seriously. i <3>
AS A STUDENT!
yesssssssssss. it is true.
or, well i hope it's true. i filled out the application last night (man, i have NO idea what a lot of those answers are, and i don't think i can contact jackie brawner for help anymore. ha.) and i will be taking care of finishing the fafsa today. my dad said i can get loans. i can live back in SUV with kristin. i can babysit atticus, paige, when you want a break! i can do lots of things. i'm still nervous if it's the right move, and i'm still scared i'll hate school and i'll be no good at it, but man, i am SO done with work right now. i just want something different. so i'll be working my face off hopefully anywhere and everywhere to make as much money as possible.
but at the end of, i will be degree'd with a major in communications and english, (read: film and literature double major. 'cause i am awesome. and i like hard work when it makes me feel good about myself.)
it'll be a little hard knowing my sister will be close to having the baby then... which is kind of sad. i feel like every time i leave SD, she does something cool that i want to be around for. but at least this time she is encouraging me to go and isn't mad about it. so that's nice. and it's a lot easier to skip school for a baby than skip work. so, that's good :)
but i'm praying about it still, so i'm hoping that's the right move.
we'll have to see.
but i'm currently prepared for a showdown and potential gunfight at work. not in an attack mind you, a complete defense. i don't feel like it's okay for someone to say unfair things, and make me feel worthless. like i said, i'll discuss more of that later. but today might be my last day.
please pray for me.
